How to Create a Site Map Page

August 03, 2008 | | Comments 7

You may have noticed the Site Map page on this site. That’s done with the built-in Site Map template, and it’s easy for you to create a site map for your own WP-Vybe driven site.

Step 1 – Write a New Page

Just click the Write Page link under the Write tab on your WordPress control panel. Be sure to give your page a page title by filling in the Title field. Other than that, you don’t need to write any content in the post editor box.

Step 2 – Assign the Site Map Page Template to your Page

At the bottom of the Write Page console, you’ll see a blue box title “Page Template.” You may have to click the white arrow to expand it. From the drop-down list, select “Site Map Page,” and click the Publish button.

    Great!

  2. bought the temp not too long ago and I really like the feel of it. I’ll have to say that it is more professional looking than before. In fact it may just give me some cred b/c it will look like i am successful b/c the fact of the matter is that if your business makes more money then typically you’ll put more money back into the company in a way that the clients will see it. thanks

Nice guide. I must admit the sitemap template is the best for making custom templates. I made a copy of my sitemap template and turned it into a blogroll template. Looks nice also!

  5. This is one of the most visited pages on my site and I have it up every time I’m writing a post so that I can make sure that I don’t duplicate tags, etc.

Great tutorial. Loving the theme – I get tons of compliments on what I’ve done with it for my blog!
